What we hold about you, where it came from, and how to make us stop.
This notice covers two things: the business contact details we use to write to brands about their Amazon catalogues, and what this website does. It is written to be read, not filed. Last updated 12 September 2026.
Who we are
Shelf & Scale is the trading name of Kevin Stekhin, a sole trader based in the United Kingdom. He is the data controller for the information described here. Contact for anything in this notice: [email protected].
Business contact details we use for outreach
We write to people at brands and distributors whose product ranges we think we can help put on Amazon. To do that we hold a small amount of information about individuals in their working role:
- name and job title
- work email address and, where published, a work phone number
- the company you work for, its website and its public product range
- whether you have replied to us, and what you asked us to do (for example, not to write again)
Where it comes from. Public sources only: your company's website, your public LinkedIn profile, Companies House records, and job advertisements your company has published. We do not buy lists and we do not scrape personal accounts.
Why we are allowed to. Our lawful basis under UK GDPR is legitimate interests: introducing a business service that is relevant to your role, to a company that publicly sells products of the kind we work with. We have assessed this against your interests and rights and keep a record of that assessment. Where the law requires consent instead — for example, sole traders and some partnerships — we do not write without it.
How to make us stop. Reply to any email with the word unsubscribe, or write to [email protected]. We add you to a suppression list the same working day, and we keep that list so we do not contact you again by mistake.
How long we keep it. If you do not reply, we delete your details 12 months after our last message. If you reply, we keep the thread for as long as we are talking, and for 12 months after it ends. Suppression-list entries are kept indefinitely, because that is the only way they work.
Who else sees it. Nobody outside Shelf & Scale, except the email and contact-management providers that carry our messages (Snov.io for contact management and our email host), acting on our instructions. We do not sell or share contact details.
This website
No cookies. No analytics. No tracking pixels. Fonts are loaded from Google Fonts, which means your browser requests them from Google's servers; that is the only third-party request the page makes.
If you email us, we keep the thread only to reply to you, share it with no one, and delete it on request. If you send us a catalogue or product data for a sample, we use it to build that sample and for nothing else, and we delete it if you ask.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR you can ask us for a copy of what we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, and object to our using it. Write to [email protected]; we answer within one month. If you are not satisfied with our answer you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
